Move More Kids Champion Celebration

Each school in Somerset County has an awesome school champion that helps lead the work of the Move More Kids program. These champions help to create a culture in their school where health and wellness are just part of the school day. We also partner with many Somerset County childcare providers who share these same messages. Annually we celebrate their wonderful work.

UMaine Day

Just under 300 area youth, UMaine athletes, coaches and New Balance volunteers gathered in July 2019 at Madison High School. UMaine athletes, their coaches and New Balance volunteers had lunch with our area youth, provided a talk on the importance of taking care of our body and mind, what it means to be a division 1 athlete and provided skill clinics in weight lifting, football, soccer and basketball. Following the clinics the UMaine bus and NB volunteers headed to Dillon Park where they replaced the basketball nets, provided a fresh coat of paint on the courts and cleanup.
